Emily is an experienced senior consultant focused within Global Supply Chain, International Procurement and Best Cost Country Sourcing. Emily leads our clients effectively through the 11-gate Strategic Sourcing Process and historically, delivers double-digit savings percentages. She has led Global Indirect Sourcing Initiatives and Global Sourcing Assessments/Diagnostics across multiple industries and clients. Emily also has experience with leading e-sourcing tool implementation across Fortune-500 clients. Internally, Emily is the lead for the Summer Associate Program and New-Hire Onboarding.

Key highlights

Supply Chain Diagnostic/Assessments:
Co-led supply chain diagnostic for National Transportation Service Provider. Delivered a detailed best-cost country (BCC) and operational transformation strategy to achieve five (5) year savings of £75M+.

Global Sourcing:
Led a $20M global strategic sourcing and implementation process of Oils & Lubricants (Hydraulic Oil, Gear Oil, Transmission Fluid, DEF etc.) for a diversified manufacturer. Exceeded high end target savings for commodity product — realized 15% annual savings. Supported the development of a Private Label Oil Product. Negotiated Supplier Cap-Ex allowance of over 90% of contract value.

Supported a global team of 16 professionals through global strategic sourcing process for $450M+ of indirect spend including MRO, Paint, Temporary Staffing, IT Hardware, Telecom, and Multi-Function Printing for a multi-billion dollar manufacturer of construction equipment.

eSourcing:
Implemented global eSourcing tool across $800M worth of spend for 5 Global Categories for a Fortune 500 diversified manufacturer.

Professional background

Emily began her post-graduate career at Gibson as a Summer Associate in 2017. Prior to joining Gibson, Emily attended the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, UK and specialized in International Relations and Trade. She has spent significant time abroad – living and working in Ecuador, Rwanda and Ghana – focusing on economic development, trade incentive programs and professional development trainings. Emily enjoys bringing her global and out-of-the-box perspective to her clients at Gibson.

Emily enjoys spending time in Chicago, checking out the new restaurant openings, and spending time with friends. She is currently working on her Level 1 and 2 WSET Wine Certificates. Additionally, Emily has completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training – and enjoys visiting different yoga studios on her global travels.
