Wesley Jay Gibson
Founder and Managing Partner

Wesley Jay Gibson is a Founder and the Managing Partner of Gibson Consulting Group, LLC. Wes has spent the last 25 years working for a wide variety of Fortune 500 and private equity clients within the Target Industries. Through his various projects, he has saved clients over $2 billion dollars in bottom line savings in over 75 industries. Wes has provided due diligence and consulting services for 25 of the top 100 U.S. private equity firms and their portfolio companies and for 10 of the top 50 Western European private equity/holding companies.

From 1990 to 2001, Wes was the Founder and Managing Partner of Gibson & Associates, Inc. He grew his consulting firm from one person to more than 250 professionals with offices in Chicago, Tampa, and London. In 2001, Wes sold his company to a large public holding company focused on the middle market. Wes and his teams have focused on operational consulting in four key areas of manufacturing: 1) supply chain, global sourcing and purchasing cost reduction; 2) transportation, distribution and logistics management; 3) sales and marketing growth implementation; and 4) skills based management training. Gibson & Associates, Inc. served three distinct groups of clients: Fortune 1000 companies; private equity firms and holding companies; and middle market manufacturing companies ($100 million to $800 million annual revenue). Many of these clients were in the Target Industries, giving Wes an extensive working knowledge of those industries.

From 1981-1990, Wes was in charge of building the operational consulting practice for the Chicago Office of Arthur Andersen & Co.'s Special Services Group. During his tenure, he wrote and developed the methodologies in purchasing and sourcing consulting, transportation consulting, sales and marketing consulting, negotiations training and several other operational consulting areas for the firm.

He built the practice into the largest and most profitable in the world within Arthur Andersen's operational consulting group.

Wes holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Southern Illinois University and has been a Certified Management Consultant for over 20 years.
