              Alliance Management
              EmailPrint

              Class Size: 15-20 Participants
              Length: 3-5 Days

              Rationale:

The purpose of this course is to help participants complete the transition from working on an alliance project to making it work. The class is presented as a workshop in which teams work with the Memorandum of Understanding to plan the initial and long term implementation of the strategic alliance.

              Attendees:

Representatives of all functions and levels who will be involved in the alliance, whether with suppliers or customers, should attend this course.

              Timing:

Consider this course whenever your organization is about to undertake the process of developing strategic alliances. When any long-term or strategically important contract is signed, the course will be particularly effective in supporting the transition from "project" to "new way of doing business" in the alliance arena.

              Objectives:

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

              • Identify goals of long-term supplier relationships
              • Relate goals of long-term supplier relationships and the “PROFILE” of a successful alliance to the content of one or more Memorandums of Understanding
              • Apply measurement techniques to ensure the lowest overall total cost of future purchases
